2015

I tend toward a picture-making practice that embraces the active gathering of subjects and objects as I move through the world. Picture constellations grow on the studio wall as images begin to communicate with one another. This work presents a foil to this ritualized and iterative approach. Here, I collect and assemble objects in front of the camera to build compositions grounded in the real, natural world, but infused with light, color, magic, and the history of photography.
